Teen Devotion on Getting God's Perspective

“The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. – Matthew 6:22

You may be getting really, really tired of all the talk right now about Coronavirus. You’re probably fed up with all the restrictions that may be set in place and wonder when things are going to end. You’re probably longing for things to be more like normal.

In times like these, the perspective you have makes a big difference. Today’s Bible verse talks about how your eye is the lamp of the body. What you see and what you focus on is important.

If you focus on all the ways you’re limited right now, it can make you angry and frustrated. You can focus on all the people dying and become fearful.

Get God’s Perspective on What You’re Facing

However, getting the proper perspective from God will help you navigate these uncertain times more effectively. So in these times, get close to God. Ask God to show you things from His word to help you.

God wants to help you, walk with you, and guide you through these times. So get close to Him and get His perspective on the things you’re facing.

Pray: Dear God, help me get your perspective on what’s going on right now in the world. I ask for your help and guidance. Please help me and give me peace during these uncertain times. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
