Christian singer-songwriter Rachael Mann has released her deeply moving new single, “Didn’t Have To Do It,” across all streaming platforms.
A heartfelt duet featuring fellow Christian artist Terell Davy and produced by Dove Award-winning artist Nathan Walters (from the acclaimed group Plus One), the song is a powerful reminder of the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ.
The message is simple yet profound–Jesus didn’t have to die on the cross for us, but because of His great love, He did. Inspired by John 15:13–”Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends”–the song invites listeners into a place of gratitude and worship.
Though written ten years ago, “Didn’t Have To Do It” is now being brought to life in a fresh and new way. The track was co-written by Rachael Mann, Donna Davenport Brown, Cedric Wren Williams, and Julie Kupelian Keltonic, blending heartfelt lyrics with soul-stirring harmonies.
“This song has been in my heart for a decade,” says Mann. “God’s timing is perfect, and now feels like the right season to share this message with the world. It’s a reminder that His love is still just as powerful and relevant today.”
“Didn’t Have To Do It” is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon Music, and all streaming services.
