Michael W. Smith Executive Produces New Film Daniel and the Fiery Furnace
There’s a new Biblical movie coming to theaters next month, and Michael W. Smith is helping bring it to the big screen. It’s called Daniel and the Fiery Furnace, and he’s serving as one of the executive producers.
The movie follows Daniel through the courts of Babylon and eventually brings viewers to the story we know so well: the fiery furnace. Daniel is told to worship the king’s gods, but he refuses to compromise his faith.
The cast is pretty interesting, too. Mena Massoud, who you might recognize as Aladdin from Disney’s live-action Aladdin, plays Daniel, while Elijah Alexander from The Chosen plays King Nebuchadnezzar.
It’s always interesting to see how filmmakers bring these familiar Bible stories to life, and Daniel and the Fiery Furnace offers a new take on one of the Bible’s most powerful stories.
