HisRadioZ – The Show

In 1977 four high school Seniors, with Britt Dillard at the helm, began a 30 minute Sunday morning radio show called the Sound of Light… It introduced a small portion of South Carolina to bands like Petra, Mylon & Broken Heart, The Newsboys and DC Talk… 5 years later when His Radio began broadcasting with an enormous signal across the Upstate, the His Radio leadership took a chance on airing 2 hours of The Sound of Light every Saturday. This RADICAL Christian Rock, Pop and Hip Hop music ministered to students and young adults in a powerful way. There was opposition from a few… but the His Radio family, in particular Allen Henderson, believed it was worth pushing the envelope beyond Sandi Patti and Michale W. Smith with music that was more intense musically- but every bit as strong lyrically-  proclaiming new life in Christ! Jack Eason and Crossover ministries entered the partnership in the late 1990’s and grew the Sound of Light nationwide. As Jack and the Sound of  Light team moved the show to Nashville Britt and HisRadio launched The Z Nation. HisRadioZ locally and TheZ.com online to continue the Sound of Light tradition in it’s new form. Today The Z Nation is growing tremendously both online and on the air. Below you can see the His Radio Stations carrying the broadcast Saturday night… and the tradition continues 24/7 on all the Z affiliates! Click here for the 24/7 stations.
