The Billboard all-genres Digital Song Sales chart, compiling the best-selling songs each week according to Luminate, has seen a significant rise in Christian music, as seven Christian songs have appeared on the chart dated for October 4, 2025.
At number 1 on the chart is Brandon Lake’s “Gratitude”, which is also concurrently leading the Christian Digital Song Sales. “Gratitude” marks Lake’s second leader on the chart, following “Hard Fought Hallelujah”, which hit the chart in November of last year. “Gratitude”, released in June 2022, appeared on Lake’s second studio album, House of Miracles. The song garnered a nomination for Song of the Year at the 2023 GMA Dove Awards, as well as a gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It was the best-selling song of 2023 according to Billboard‘s year-end Hot Christian Songs. The song had peaked at number 33 on the Digital Song Sales before this week’s re-entry.
Fourth on the Digital Song Sales and second on the Christian Digital Song sales chart is Chris Tomlin’s “Holy Forever”. The song is one of only three of Tomlin’s songs to enter the chart, alongside “Be a Light”, which hit number 5 in April 2020, and “Thank You Lord”, which hit number 32 in June of that year. “Holy Forever” was released on March 10, 2023, as the fourth single from Tomlin’s thirteenth studio project, Always. The song was nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song at the 2023 Grammy Awards. In June of this year, it was certified platinum by the RIAA.
At number 6 on the Digital Song Sales and number 3 on the Christian Digital Song Sales is Kari Jobe, Cody Carnes, and Elevation Worship’s collaboration, “The Blessing”. The song peaked at number 4 on the Digital Song Sales in April 2020. The song received the 2021 Dove Award for Song of the Year, as well as a nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song at the Grammy Awards and Top Christian Song at the Billboard Music Awards. “The Blessing” additionally entered the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart, peaking at number 15. It appeared on Jobe’s album of the same name and Elevation Worship’s Graves Into Gardens.
At number 24 on the Digital Song Sales and number 7 on the Christian Digital Song Sales is Matthew West with his song “Unashamed”. The song was released on October 4, 2024, when it appeared as a track on West’s album Don’t Stop Praying. The song quickly rose to success on Christian radio, hitting number 3 on Christian Airplay.
