They say that timing is everything. Well, that time has come for the popular worship band, Fusebox. Persevere Entertainment Group, INC., is thrilled to announce the return of Fusebox with today’s release of, “You Will”–the band’s first new music in twenty years. Back at the helm for Fusebox is Dove Award-nominee and founding member, lead vocalist/songwriter, Billy Buchanan.
After backing GRAMMY Award-winner, Rebecca St. James (along with her brothers, Joel and Luke, of for KING + COUNTRY, singing behind her) for many years, Fusebox was eventually signed to Elevate Records (distributed by Capitol CMG) as their flagship artist. Fusebox released two rocking worship albums with Lost in Worship in 2002 spawning the hit song, “Every Move I Make,” before following its success up with the 2004 record, Once Again, whose title track was a ‘Top 5’ hit. Even though “You Will” marks the group’s first new music in two decades, it picks up right where they left off, proclaiming that not only is the band back, but they are sounding better than ever.
Buchanan co-wrote “You Will” with his wife, Jamie. The beautiful ballad serves as a timely reminder of God’s faithfulness. When asked about the highly anticipated new single as well as the band’s extended hiatus and return, Buchanan says, “For the last 20 years, I’ve continued to make my living playing music. I’ve released 12 solo albums. I’ve also been serving on the worship team at my church, singing, playing acoustic and bass guitar.” He continues, “I recently attended the Dove Awards and saw a lot of old friends. Surprisingly, many of the musicians who were making music during Fusebox’s heyday are still relevant today. I was really encouraged, and immediately made the decision to put out new Fusebox music”.
