Christian Rock mainstays Skillet have announced a new Christmas single is set to release this Friday, November 14. “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” will mark the band’s first foray into Christmas music in their nearly 30-year career.
Fans have long clamored for the band to record a Christmas song of some sort, but until now, such a request has never materialized. It’s unclear if this is just a one-off single or if a larger Christmas project of some sort is in the works.
Skillet has been one of Christian music’s most successful and recognizable bands with a career dating back to the mid-1990s. Hit songs like “Hero,” “Monster,” and “Feel Invincible” were legitimate hits in the mainstream. Starting with 2024’s Revolution, the band has operated independently, offering them a newfound sense of creative freedom that makes projects like this more possible.
Stay tuned to NewReleaseToday for news on all things Skillet, including if there may be more to come on the Christmas music front. Pre-save “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” here.
