Psalms of David Releases Debut Album

With raw honesty and emotional depth, Psalms Of David unveils Heart Surgery Vol. 1–a powerful and unfiltered collection of songs chronicling the transformation of a believer’s heart. The eight-track project explores themes of brokenness, conviction, and restoration, tracing the spiritual journey from surrender to resurrection.

Led by the new track, “Heavenward,” the album guides listeners through life’s hardest prayers and most intimate conversations with God. Each song–like the piercing “Conviction,” the reflective “Letter To Lust,” and the hauntingly beautiful “Heart of Repentance (Reimagined)”–reveals the layers of a heart being refined by grace. The sequence itself feels like a spiritual operation, from “Pre-op (the journey)” to the closing interlude, “I Trust You.”

Written by Ethan David and composed and produced by David Noble, Heart Surgery Vol. 1 captures the tension between pain and healing, honesty and hope. “This project feels like a mirror,” Ethan shares. “Every lyric exposes what’s been hidden and invites God to bring something new to life.”

The centerpiece “Heavenward” serves as the album’s heartbeat–a declaration to stay fixed on Christ even in the darkest moments. With lyrics like “Seek first the Kingdom and all will be added, you will lack nothing,” the song points listeners back to the truth that God is not only the healer but the constant companion through every season.

Psalms Of David has quickly built a reputation for crafting music that refuses to shy away from pain yet refuses to stay there. His artistry draws from lived experience–writing through abuse, abandonment, and redemption–with the singular goal of helping others find healing in Jesus. “I want people to hear my music and encounter the real Jesus,” he says. “The lost come home, the broken made whole, and the bound set free.”

The moods shaping Heart Surgery Vol. 1–Brokenness, Conviction, Restoration, and Conversations With God–make it a fitting addition to playlists focused on reflection and renewal. It’s a collection for those who have walked through fire, prayed through tears, and come out with a heart still beating for the One who heals.

Heart Surgery Vol. 1 is available now on all major streaming platforms.
