Vineyard Worship announce brand new single ‘I Follow Jesus (Disciple)’ recorded live at Dreaming The Impossible, a summer festival for young people from churches everywhere which grew to 5000 attendees this summer.

Songwriters Beth Goodwright, Dan Goodwright, Jon Solway and Cindy Abu share their heart behind this song:

“We recorded this powerful song at a festival where thousands of young people were desperately seeking God, and keen to live out his truth in their lives.

In the lead up, we really wanted to write a song that was centred on the theme of discipleship to Jesus, expressing the desire to follow the way of Jesus no matter the cost.

In Luke 9:23, Jesus says “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”

‘I Follow Jesus (Disciple)’ is a direct response to that invitation – boldly declaring that Jesus is the only way and defiantly choosing to follow Him.

We hope that this song will inspire and encourage many young people as they seek to live out their lives as disciples of Jesus.

‘I Follow Jesus (Disciple)’ releases everywhere on 16th October.
